A 1.5 ha drainage dam in the new showgrounds in Don Road is a great fishing spot. This fishing destination is bank angling only and accessible most days other than when a major event involving fee admission is being conducted in the area. The dam contains redfin to 1 kg, brown trout and goldfish.
RACV Country Club is a semi-private golf course however limited opportunities exist for non-members to play. The RACV club at Healesville has recently been completely redesigned by well known golf course architect Michael Clayton. Large, severely undulating greens are hallmarks of the new course as are the craggy bunkers that Clayton is well known for. The end result is a course that tests golfers set within the beautiful surrounds of well established bush and forest only 70 minutes from the centre of Melbourne.
Horse riding is offer at Rubicon Valley where you will find a full range of horse riding experiences. They have an informative introductory session, popular 2 hour and half day rides, as well as full day and overnight safaris. Enjoy a relaxing weekend getaway in the fresh mountain air or a couple of hours to amble, trot and canter the rolling hills.

Badger Weir Picnic Area is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic or barbecue. Visitors can enjoy fresh mountain air and forest walks passing through ancient fern gullies, across clear mountain streams and meandering amongst mighty Mountain Ash.
